BTA and airline  partner ArkeFly will organize the 5th   ranking event of 2013.

The event will take place @ Eagle beach where we expect around 300 participants to play over the weekend

in all categories, levels and ages.

14 Courts will be set up, plenty tents with shade and seating area as well as a lounge area with bean bags.

Ice cold drinks at the BTA bar and food by Senor frog’s.

Every one can play at their own level from beginner till Pro.

Levels : Fun(beginner), Intermediate, Advanced and Open.

Their will be prize money in Open doubles men & women.

Winner     > AWG 200.-

2nd Place > AWG 100.-

Categories : Singles, mix doubles, doubles.

The Youth tournament on the Saturday afternoon will have only doubles in the levels Fun, Intermediate and Advanced.

Saturday May 25 >

9 am – 2 pm : Singles.

2 pm – 6 pm : Mix doubles.

Sunday May 26 >

10 am – 6 pm : Men- & women doubles.

Team Cup rules & regulations

 Pool play:

Format: 1 men double, 1 women double, 1 mix double.

Matches are played till 6 won by 2 games(5-7 e.g.) tie-break at 6 – 6.

Positioning in the group is based upon:

1. Total number of matches won
2. Total number of sets won minus total number of sets lost
3. Total number of games won minus total number of games lost
4. Head to head result

Time frame: 10 am – 3.30 pm pool play

Semi’s and final :

1 men’s double, 1 women’s double play a set till 6 games won by 2 games(5-7 e.g.) tie-break at 6 – 6.

If necessary the mix doubles will be best out of 3 sets.

Set played till 4 games (3-3 tie break). Every set a different team.

In case of a 3^rd set , a super tie-breaker till 10  is played, team can decide which combination of players will play it.

3.30 pm > semi finals.

5.00 pm >  finals.

Levels : Intermediate & Advanced

Entry fee Afl 80.- per team.

Saturday and Sunday April 27 & 28 BTA (Beach Tennis Aruba) and Arubianas organized the 4th ranking tournament of 2013.

The event took  place @ Eagle beach where around 300 participants  played over the weekend in all categories, levels and ages.

The players played hard in the hot conditions on the 14 courts.

The Youth tournament on the Saturday afternoon showed that Aruba has a lot to offer I beach tennis talent.

On the Sunday just before the Open women finals Banana Moon had a marvelous bikini show.

Winners received medals and Arubianas sandals.

60 Teams competed thru out the day. A splendid atmosphere and quality matches made it the perfect beach tennis day!

Advanced men had 20 teams playing at the end Ricardo and Fernando won it.

In intermediate men Shinton/Shawn suprised with a 2nd place in their first tournament ever!

Liza Blok and Jenn Coster celebrated their come back with a win in Open women.
